There are many reasons that can cause the bursting of rubber expansion joint .Let’s check them one by one.
Firstly, the pressure in the pipeline is too high. Generally, the maximum pressure of the rubber expansion joints can withstand is 2.0Mpa for PN10 rubber expansion joints. If the pressure is too high, high pressure resistant rubber expansion joints should be used. The working pressure can be 3.0MPa for a PN16 (4.5Mpa for PN25)rubber expansion joints. Therefore, the designer should design the rubber expansion joints with corresponding pressure to install.JINGNING rubber expansion joints are designed beyond the pressure standard. For example, our DN100 rubber expansion joints can work well at 8.0Mpa.
Secondly,rubber expansion joints produced by inferior rubber materials may cause the bursting. Rubber expansion joints installed outdoors should be protected from high temperature, ozone oil and acid and alkali environments, and it is strictly prohibited to be exposed to rain, rain and wind. In this case, the rubber material should be good, such as: neoprene, EPDM, silicone rubber, fluorine rubber and other formulas. The use of good rubber can extend the life of the rubber.Our rubber formula is special designed and tested to suitable for the usage the rubber expansion joints.
The other reason is a manufacturing process problem.Rubber expansion joints burst from the inner parts, especially from the crack caused by Mechanical mold.But we JINGNING use internal inflation（compress air) to process the inside of the rubber expansion joints.It won’t leave cracks on the rubber.In this way, we can avoid the bursting risks.
